Lambing Farm Stay Experience

From January to May, you can stay at BOYA FARM during the lambing season and witness the birth of new life up close.

You will experience lambing observation, bottle-feeding, and watching our Border Collies at work.


Rates (1 night with 2 meals)

1 night …… 35,000 JPY
2 nights …… 65,000 JPY
3 nights …… 92,000 JPY
1 week (6 nights 7 days) …… 180,000 JPY

Transportation

In winter, road conditions can be challenging for visitors unfamiliar with Hokkaido.
We offer free pickup and drop-off at Obihiro Airport or the nearest station.
As this is not a taxi service, no fee is charged.
Please inform us when making a reservation if you require pickup.

Payment

Payment is by cash or bank transfer (in advance).

For Visitors from Overseas

To protect the health of our animals, please avoid visiting livestock farms or related facilities during the first week after entering Japan.
If you visited another farm shortly before arrival, please inform us in advance.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our sheep safe.

Accommodation

You will stay in our on-site guest house.
Rooms: one 2-person room, two single rooms, and a 5-person room (2 beds + futons).
The 1-person and 2-person rooms have beds.

Schedule

  • Check-in: 15:00–17:00 (after 16:00, outdoor work is not possible due to darkness)
  • Morning work: 9:00–12:00
  • Afternoon work: 13:30–16:00
  • Night check: from 0:00 (optional)

Meals

  • Dinner: lamb dishes (Jingisukan, stew, etc.)
  • Breakfast: options available (Western/Japanese)
  • Lunch: Please prepare your own. We can accompany you to a nearby supermarket. Cooking utensils are available.

For biosecurity reasons, we will check your passport upon check-in.
If your arrival in Japan was within the last 7 days, access to certain farm areas may be restricted.
